Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the croupier, not like almost all other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, new players do not have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable players taking their moolla.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, beginners should be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make frenzied decisions.
It is also simpler to enjoy for a very long time with just a little amount of cash since, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
