Poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the bet comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus an amount on par with the original bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
