Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in a wonderful game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the casino, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about any other, more skillful players winning their moolla.

Another Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, newcomers can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick selections.

It is also easier to wager on for a very long time with basically a small amount of money seeing as, to not win, both of your hands must be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
